As we head into the summer in the NFL, the ascension of Green Bay Packers Jordan Love was recently named a storyline to watch in the NFC North.

After seeing the Detroit Lions take the NFC North in 2023, the division is shaping up to be very competitive in 2024. While the Lions will still be the team to beat in the division, they will have a lot of competition from the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers will be trying to build upon what they did in the second half of the 2023 season, and if they can play like that, they could win the NFC North. While the Green Bay Packers are going to be competing for the division title, all eyes will be on Jordan Love in his second season as the starter.

Recently, Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report spoke about the ascension of Love being the biggest storyline in the division. Here’s what he had to say.

While Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams begins his transition from college to the pros and the Minnesota Vikings look for stability at quarterback following Kirk Cousins’ departure in free agency, the Packers have the best shot to topple the Detroit Lions in the NFC North.
Love started to hit his stride around the time that the Packers beat the Lions 29-22 in Detroit on Thanksgiving. The Packers have beaten the Bears 10 straight times, and they can keep up with the high-scoring Lions with Love at the helm.

If Love can play like he did in 2023 and potentially even get better, the Packers are going to be in excellent shape to dethrone the Lions in the division. While the Bears are certainly getting better, it’s hard to imagine that they take that big of a leap to contend with the Lions and Packers.

For Jordan Love, there is certainly still room for growth entering his second season as the starter. If that ends up being the case, we could be looking at a potential MVP for the Green Bay Packers.
