The Green Bay Packers have undergone some major changes heading into the 2023 season. Jordan Love taking over as the starting quarterback is easily the biggest change Green Bay has undergone.

All eyes will be on Love, who has a lot of pressure to perform this upcoming season. Heading into Year 4, this is potentially the only chance he will have to prove to Packers brass that he should be their long-term answer under center.

A first-round pick in 2020, this will be his first chance to start after sitting behind future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers for three seasons. Being drafted that high and replacing a legend is just more added pressure, as Love has 30 years of Hall of Fame production to follow in the footsteps of.

That is why it should come as no surprise that Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has picked Love as the biggest x-factor for the Packers in the 2023 season. It is the dawn of a new era in Green Bay with Love taking the reins of the offense.

“If the Packers are getting an above-average starter in Love, then they’ll be relevant in 2023. They’ll also likely determine that their quarterback situation is settled for the foreseeable future. If the 24-year-old struggles, however, Green Bay might start eyeing that vaunted 2024 quarterback class.”

If training camp and the preseason are an indication of what is to come, the Packers are going to surprise some people this season. Against the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots, Love found success in his five drives.

Love has been impressive, building up chemistry and cohesion with his young supporting cast. The Packers took an unorthodox approach to filling out the offense, as nearly the entire skill position group has less experience than him.

But, there is no denying the talent that the Packers have stockpiled, using premium draft capital the last two seasons to load up their wide receiver and tight end depth chart. Christian Watson is emerging as a versatile weapon and rookie tight end Luke Musgrave has the physical profile to become a difference-maker right off the bat.
