Expectations for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love are all over the place. There are some people who have already written the Packers off for the 2023 season, believing the transition from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love will be too much for the team to overcome.

That certainly isn’t the feeling within Packers headquarters, as coaches and teammates are confident that the 2020 first-round pick will get the job done. He has been acclimating himself well, as Jordan Love is reportedly commanding the huddle and has a full grasp of the offense.

Despite players and coaches saying all of the right things, everyone knows that there will be some bumps in the road. While he enters Year 4 of his career, Jordan Love has the experience of a rookie.

In three seasons, the Utah State product has made only 10 appearances, including one start, with 83 career pass attempts. That certainly isn’t much to work with when it comes to making predictions and projections, but the potential is there for the Packers to surprise some people.

If everything falls right for the Packers, success is there to be had. ESPN NFL Insider Dan Graziano recently shared what the long-shot outcome for Jordan Love and the offense could be in 2023.

“Love becomes the next Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers, continuing the Packers’ Hall of Fame quarterback lineage and returning them to Super Bowl glory at some point in the next few seasons. He leads them to a division title in his first year as a starter, makes the Pro Bowl and signs a real extension next offseason.”

That is something the NFC North rivals would certainly be sickened by. For three decades the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions have had to deal with the Packers having a Hall of Famer under center, dicing them up year in and year out.

Jordan Love could be their chance to finally catch a break in that regard. But, in a best-case, long-shot scenario, extending that streak to four or five decades is certainly possible. Overall, this is an offense that is lacking experience, not talent.

Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are the best running back duo in the NFL and will be leaned on heavily in the early going. Wide receivers Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed, and tight ends Luke Mugrave and Tucker Kraft don’t have much experience amongst them but are talented and will receive a crash course as regulars.

If Jordan Love and that group can hit the ground running and produce right out of the gate in Week 1, they could be the surprise team in the NFC in 2023.
