The Green Bay Packers are in the middle of what many believe could be a Super Bowl winning season. As of right now, they are the best team in the NFL. A lot of that has had to do with yet another massive season from superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has even been dealing with a broken toe.

Rodgers has had a lot of speculation surrounding him all season long. After a very public standoff with the Packers, Rodgers returned for what many believed would be his last season in Green Bay. Now, most are expecting him to return for next season, but he might not for a different reason than demanding a trade.

In a recent quote, Rodgers did not rule out the option of retiring following the 2021 NFL season.

“I’m just enjoying this season for this season, and playing next year will definitely be in the thought process.”

What a shocker it would be for Rodgers to walk away from the NFL after back-to-back amazing seasons for the Packers. However, he may view it as time to retire and head out as one of the league’s elite. Either way, fans in Green Bay can only hope that he chooses to come back for another year or two of Super Bowl contention.

So far this year, Rodgers has completed 68 percent of his pass attempts for 3,689 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He is also fresh off of breaking Brett Favre’s franchise record for passing touchdowns. Rodgers broke that record on Christmas Day against the Cleveland Browns.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Rodgers. Will he stay with the Packers, ask for a trade, or even retire? There will be plenty of questions that need to be answered once again for Green Bay in the offseason.

Make sure to stay tune for updates regarding Aaron Rodgers’ future and what the Packers will do moving forward.
