Heading into the 2023 season, there aren’t many people who are high on the Green Bay Packers. Plenty have written them off already because of the quarterback change that they are undergoing.

Gone is future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the New York Jets. Taking his place is 2020 first-round pick, Jordan Love. After sitting behind Rodgers for three seasons, this is now Love’s time to shine as the starter.

How he and the Packers will perform is a mystery to everyone. He has had only 83 regular season passing attempts, making 10 appearances with one start. The supporting cast around Love is as inexperienced as him, as there isn’t a wide receiver on the roster with more than one NFL season under their belt. The top two players on the tight end depth chart are also rookies.

But, there are still some people who believe that the Packers are being overlooked heading into the season. Rich Eisen is one of those people. On his show, he discussed how Love has looked during the preseason, as Eisen has liked what he has seen.

There is no denying that Love and the Packers’ first-team offense has looked solid throughout the preseason. He has played five series, completing 12-of-18 pass attempts for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Love has not thrown an interception, with the only turnover being a miscommunication on a shotgun snap in Preseason Week 2 against the New England Patriots.

Chemistry is there between Love and his weapons, especially wide receiver Christian Watson. The Packers’ second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft is ready to break out in Year 2 and has been dominant all offseason.

If a few things fall their way, the Packers will surprise some people throughout the season. The roster may be lacking experience, but they are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.
