The Green Bay Packers are scheduled to work out United Football League Most Valuable Player Jack Plummer next week, according to a report Friday.
Packers draft and scouting writer Easton Butler posted the news, citing NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
“The Packers are working out QB Jack Plummer next week, per Aaron Wilson,” Butler wrote.
Wilson separately reported that the 26-year-old quarterback will visit Green Bay after a recent workout with the New York Jets that also included former Tennessee Titans starter Will Levis.
Plummer led the Orlando Storm to an 8-2 regular-season record in the UFL’s 2026 campaign and earned league MVP honors. He completed 195 of 300 passes for 2,189 yards, 17 touchdowns and one interception, posting a 104.1 passer rating.
The Packers currently list Jordan Love as their starter and veteran Tyrod Taylor as the primary backup on the 53-man roster. They signed Kedon Slovis to the practice squad earlier this week after trading Kyle McCord to Miami.
Taylor turns 37 during the season, giving Green Bay reason to evaluate additional depth at the position as the regular season approaches. The Packers open at Minnesota in the coming days.
Plummer signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2024 after going unselected in that year’s draft. He spent most of his first NFL season on the practice squad and appeared in preseason action before being waived in 2025.
The former Purdue, California and Louisville quarterback then joined the Storm for the UFL season. He previously worked out for the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins in July.
In college, Plummer threw for 9,728 yards and 68 touchdowns against 31 interceptions across 47 games at three programs. He posted back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons at California in 2022 and Louisville in 2023.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds, Plummer is a pocket passer who also added 189 rushing yards and two scores in the UFL regular season. One of those runs covered 71 yards.
The Packers have historically developed quarterbacks under coach Matt LaFleur, who previously helped Malik Willis before Willis left in free agency. Adding a developmental arm behind Love and Taylor would follow that pattern.
Plummer’s lone interception in 300 UFL attempts stood out in a league that featured more turnovers from other passers. He completed 65 percent of his throws and scored a touchdown in every regular-season game.
Green Bay’s interest comes as several teams continue to scan the available quarterback market after final roster cuts. The Jets have already given Plummer a look for a possible practice-squad role.
Whether the workout leads to a signing remains to be seen. The Packers already have three quarterbacks in the building, but an impressive session could prompt further evaluation of their depth chart heading into Week 1.
Plummer’s combination of recent production, size and prior NFL exposure makes him one of the more notable names still seeking a roster or practice-squad opportunity this month.
