Packers Coverage, NFL Analysis Network

The Green Bay Packers will be kicking off the 2023 regular season against a familiar foe. They will be going on the road to take on their NFC North rivals, the Chicago Bears. This is a big game for both teams as they look to put disappointing 2022 campaigns behind them.

Last season was the first under Matt LaFleur that the Packers failed to win 13 games. They went 8-9 and missed the postseason for the first time as well. The Bears went 3-14, finishing the season on a 10-game losing streak.

Both teams have aspirations to turn things around and spend the offseason making major changes to their lineups. Whose changes will result in a victory in Week 1? We will have to wait and find out on Sunday afternoon. Here is all the information that you will need to enjoy the game!

All eyes on Sunday afternoon will be on Jordan Love. He is making only his second career start as he takes over as the starting quarterback for the first time in his career. There are some huge shoes to fill as he is taking the place of Aaron Rodgers.

Across from Love is Justin Fields, a 2021 first-round pick. Fields has a lot to prove entering Year 3 as people doubt if he can be a franchise quarterback. With an improved supporting cast and a new No. 1 wide receiver in D.J. Moore, the time is now for him to take that next step in his development.

There are a lot of key matchups, such as the Packers’ offensive line against the revamped Bears’ defensive front. Some bold predictions were also made as this game, according to oddsmakers, could be the most competitive of the opening weekend. The one-point spread is the smallest of the Week 1 slate.
