4. How Hurt Is Aaron Jones?

The Packers’ offense had a few very explosive plays courtesy of running back Aaron Jones. On the ground, it was tough sledding, but Jones still managed to gain 41 yards in nine carries and a touchdown.

He made a major impact as a receiver, recording a huge fourth-down conversion on an option route in the middle of the field that went for 35 yards in the second half. He also had a 51-yard catch and run for a score as his other reception in the game.

Unfortunately, on that 51-yard touchdown reception, he looked to have injured his hamstring. His day ended after and the team hopes this isn’t an injury that lingers. Early indications are that it isn’t serious, but losing Jones would be a huge blow. The team is already without wide receiver Christian Watson, who is dealing with a hamstring injury of his own.

3. Anders Carlson Answers The Call

This offseason was a roller coaster ride for rookie kicker Anders Carlson. A sixth-round pick out of Auburn, he was tasked with replacing long-time kicker Mason Crosby. At times this offseason, it looked as if the Packers made the wrong decision.

Carlson struggled at points in training camp with consistency. Whether it was during practice or preseason games, something seemed to be missing. One day he would look like a star in the making, the next you could question why he was on the field.

In Week 1, he provided the former. Carlson was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points and nailed his only field goal attempt of the game. He showed off his strong leg, knocking it through the uprights from 52 yards away and easing any lingering concerns there may have been.
