The 2023 season was the start of the Jordan Love era for the Green Bay Packers. A first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, he had the tall task of replacing the legendary Aaron Rodgers under center.
After some early bumps in the road, Jordan Love found his groove in the second half of the season. He performed as one of the best quarterbacks in the league, helping lead the Packers to a 6-2 record.
That strong finish resulted in Green Bay earning the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. They made the most of the opportunity, going on the road and destroying the Dallas Cowboys 48-32.
The Packers would fall in the Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers, but they gave them everything they could handle. That surprising performance has led to expectations being on the rise in Green Bay.
Analysts and fans alike are very high on Jordan Love and his future. One of the analysts who likes what they have seen is Pete Priscot of CBS Sports.
He recently released his top 100 player rankings of 2024. Jordan Love made his debut on the list, coming in at No. 87.
“In his first full season as a starter, he showed he can be the Packers’ long-term quarterback. He threw 32 touchdown passes and 11 picks in leading the Packers to the playoffs. The best is yet to come for him,” Prisco wrote.
Jordan Love is the 14th out of 15 quarterbacks who made the list. Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons came in behind him at No. 98. Veteran Matthew Stafford ended up landing on the honorable mention list.
This is only the beginning for the young Packers signal caller. If he can carry over that performance down the stretch of 2023 into 2024, Green Bay is going to win a lot of games and he will skyrocket up this list.
