The Green Bay Packers are currently preparing for the 2021 NFL season as if Jordan Love will be the starting quarterback. With the drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers, no one truly knows what to expect. Brett Favre has been very vocal about his thoughts on the situation and he also shared his thoughts on Love.

Love is a relatively unknown talent. Because there were no preseason games last year due to COVID-19, the Packers were unable to see him in game action. That will change this offseason and Green Bay can’t wait to see him in action.

Favre talked with TMZ about Love and revealed the biggest question that the Packers face with Love as their starting quarterback and made it clear that they need to answer the question very quickly.

“Now, you’re really kinda studying what Jordan does best, what he does similar to Aaron, how that relates to how I call the game in the future. Do I do certain formations and plays that Aaron ran well because Jordan seems to run these well, or is he a totally different quarterback? That’s a question that they gotta answer and answer very quickly.”

Obviously, every single Packers fan in the world is hoping that the franchise doesn’t have to answer that question this season. Everyone is still hoping that Rodgers and Green Bay can work out their issues. However, Matt LaFleur and the coaching staff has their work cut out for them if Love ends up being the starter.

Quite simply, no quarterbacks can make the same plays that Rodgers does. Love will stand no chance having to extend plays like Rodgers has done so well throughout his career. He also doesn’t have the poise in the pocket nor the accuracy that the reigning MVP possesses.

Green Bay would be a legitimate Super Bowl favorite if Rodgers comes back to play. On the other hand, if Love ends up being the starter, many would likely pick them to end up missing the playoffs. More than likely, the Packers would still be in serious contention for a playoff appearance even without Rodgers due to the overall talent on their roster.

All of that being said, Brett Favre brings up a very good point. Jordan Love has looked better this offseason, but the playbook might need some major changes regardless. The Packers are on the clock with the season coming up quickly.
