As the Green Bay Packers get ready to start the season, their front office is undoubtedly thinking about the future. Who might the Packers pursue in the 2025 NFL Draft?
While the 2025 NFL Draft is a long way away, a good franchise is always looking toward the future. In recent years, the Green Bay Packers have done an excellent job drafting, and that great job hasn’t been because they just look at prospects for a couple of weeks.
This season, the Packers are expected to be one of the best teams in the NFC, so they likely won’t be selecting high in the first round if all goes according to plan. Recently, ESPN recently their very early 2025 Mock Draft.
They had the Packers selecting at 25 and had them bolstering their defensive line with Tyleik Williams from Ohio State. Here’s what they had to say.
With speculation that Kenny Clark could hit free agency and leave, addressing the interior of the defensive line makes a lot of sense.
Since the Green Bay Packers are likely going to have to pay Jordan Love a ton of money soon, a player like Clark, who while important, might not be in the budget for Green Bay.
If the Packers do let Clark walk in free agency, adding a player like Williams would make a ton of sense in the middle. Ohio State and Williams are no strangers to good competition and Williams faces off against solid offensive linemen in the Big 10 almost weekly.
While it is very early, it will be interesting to see what position the Green Bay Packers pursue in the draft.
