Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love garnered a lot of attention with his performance in Week 1. While Jordan Love was shaky at times with his accuracy, going 15-of-27 in the game, he still stuffed the stat sheet.

Working behind a dominant offensive line that kept a clean pocket, Love was able to throw for 245 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover. He was only sacked once, but that was more of a product of good pass coverage on a play he was beginning to move off-script with.

Heading into Week 2 of the season, expectations for Jordan Love and the Packers are beginning to change. While many people wrote them off earlier in the offseason, Green Bay is now a team expected to make the playoffs with odds as high as -160, which is an implied probability of 61.54 percent.

Jordan Love is also beginning to garner some attention in the Fantasy Football world as well. Managers are always looking for an edge over their league mates, and the Packers quarterback has been named a waiver wire target by PFF’s Nathan Jahnke for Fantasy Football managers.

Using ESPN, Jahnke shared that Jordan Love is rostered in only 15.8 percent of leagues. That is a number that will assuredly skyrocket in Week 2 as he could be a replacement for managers who lost Aaron Rodgers to a season-ending Achilles injury.

In Week 1 against the Chicago Bears, Jordan Love finished with 23 fantasy points, which was the second-best performance of the week according to Jahnke. What makes that performance even more impressive is that it came without wide receiver Christian Watson in the lineup, who is dealing with an injured hamstring. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs was able to suit up but was hampered by a hamstring injury of his own.

He also provided a little bit of upside with his rushing ability, gaining 12 yards on three carries. The Packers aren’t going to be calling runs for him frequently, but it is encouraging to see that he is capable of it should the need arise.

There are certainly still questions about the Packers’ offense given the inexperience of the unit as a whole. But, at the very least, Jordan Love has garnered attention for being a stash for Fantasy Football managers with some upside.
