Coming into the 2023 season, the Green Bay Packers were a team that many people were overlooking. In the Fantasy Football community, it was a wait-and-see approach as no one knew what to expect from a Jordan Love-led unit.

There was no denying the talent and upside of the group, but it was anyone’s guess how things would look given how inexperienced the entire group was. Love had only one start and 10 appearances in three seasons while there wasn’t a single wide receiver or tight end on the roster with more than one season of NFL experience.

While there have been some bumps in the road, Fantasy Football managers have begun taking notice. This is an offense that can provide some value for your teams this season. One of the players who you should look into adding is tight end Luke Musgrave.

The tight end position has been a mess this year for Fantasy Football. Musgrave, who has caught 11 passes for 124 yards without a touchdown, ranks as a top-10 option at the position through three weeks.

While some may believe that ranking will drop once other players get on track, savvy managers will notice his standing should actually improve. When looking for upside, opportunity is king. With the Packers, Musgrave is facing virtually none at the tight end spot.

Through three weeks, he has run 89 routes, which is ninth amongst tight ends. Concerns over his usage changing once players such as Christian Watson and Aaron Jones are healthy are valid.

But, there isn’t anyone challenging him for playing time, so his usage rate could remain the same, if not better with more attention being directed elsewhere. His 16.9 percent target share is about average right now, so his workload shouldn’t shrink.

A highly drafted rookie that is running a lot of routes is a situation that will eventually bear fruit. Musgrave’s ownership would have skyrocketed already had Love connected with him on deep balls that would have gone for big gains or even touchdowns.

One 50-yard score, which the two have had chances to connect on but failed, would vault Musgrave up the standings. Get on the bandwagon before that occurs and he is no longer available in your Fantasy Football league.
