The Green Bay Packers are focused on the 2023 season, but some people have already begun turning their attention to 2024. This offseason is going to be a big one for the Packers as they are going to have a lot of assets at their disposal.

Green Bay is going to have a good amount of cap space to spend, giving them the ability to bring in some established veterans to upgrade the youngest, least experienced roster in the NFL. Right now, they are set to have three picks in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft as well.

The Packers have their own first and second-round picks and a second-round pick coming from the New York Jets from the Aaron Rodgers trade. That pick from the Jets could have been a first-rounder, but he won’t reach the 65 percent of snaps played threshold for that to convey after tearing his left Achilles.

That second-round pick will still provide the Packers with a chance to add an impact player to help right away. Curt Popejoy of USA Today recently put together a two-round 2024 NFL Mock Draft and has Green Bay adding three Michigan players to their roster.

In the first round, Popejoy has the Packers selecting defensive lineman Kris Jenkins 19th overall. There have been some concerns about the depth Green Bay has in the trenches defensively and Jenkins would certainly help in that regard.

The nephew of former NFL player Cullen Jenkins, Kris certainly has the pedigree to succeed in the NFL. He could form a long-term group along with Devonte Wyatt, Karl Brooks and Colby Wooden for the team to build around for the future.

With the No. 43 pick, Popejoy has mocked running back Blake Corum to the Packers. There is a chance that Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon won’t be in the mix next season as Jones has a cap hit north of $17 million and Dillon is in the final season of his rookie contract.

Given the struggles of the running game thus far this season, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Packers look to add at least one new player to the mix. Corum could be that guy depending on how the rest of the offseason plays out.

Last but not least, Popejoy has the Packers landing safety Rod Moore with the No. 51 overall pick. The safety position has been a major question mark in Green Bay recently and addressing it with a draft pick is certainly a possibility.

There are some evaluators, such as Max Chadwick of PFF, who believe that Moore is the most well-rounded safety in the country right now. Adding someone of that caliber to their secondary would be a great get for the Packers.
