The Packers are hopeful that things will go as well against the Patriots as they did against the Bengals. They won their first preseason game of the year decisively, leaving Paycor Stadium with a 36-19 victory.

This week, Green Bay and New England had two joint practices with each other this week in preparation for the preseason game. There have been a few standouts for the Packers, as their pass rush was on fire all week.

Based on how the joint practices went this week, there are a few things to keep an eye on. Can the Packers’ pass rush keep the heat on the Patriots’ quarterbacks? Whoever lined up as a pass rusher in practice was finding success getting into the backfield. Green Bay reportedly racked up 16 “sacks” in two days.

Offensively, the Packers have to start figuring out how to get things going on the ground. They have struggled running between the tackles all offseason and finding some success in the running game would be a confidence boost for the team.

As always, there are specific players to keep an eye on who is looking to make the final roster. The battle for the No. 6 wide receiver spot is heating up between Malik Heath, Bo Melton and Grant DuBose. Defensively there are depth spots seemingly up for grabs at every level. But, the safety position is the most wide open as head coach Matt LaFleur and defensive coordinator Joe Barry try and figure out a winning combination.
