With Brandon Aiyuk’s time in San Francisco likely ending sooner rather than later, what would a trade package from the Green Bay Packers look like?

As the NFL offseason rolls on, one of the interesting names to watch during the summer is Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are once again hoping to be a contender for the Super Bowl, but their wide receiver is seeking a new contract and seems unhappy with the team.

Since the 49ers are contenders this season, they are unlikely to move Aiyuk. However, if things go south between the team and the player, you never know. Recently, Bleacher Report speculated what some potential trades for Aiyuk would look like. Here’s what they said about a potential trade to the Green Bay Packers.

San Francisco 49ers receive: WR Christian Watson, 2025 second-round pick

Green Bay Packers receive: WR Brandon Aiyuk

While Green Bay already has a slew of intriguing young wideouts in Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Christian Watson on the roster, none of these pass-catchers are as well-rounded or as proven as Aiyuk. Flipping Watson—who possesses arguably the most upside of any receiver on this roster—and a second-round pick to the 49ers could get a deal done that will take the Packers to the next level.

With the Packers nipping on the heels of the 49ers, it is extremely unlikely the two would do a significant deal like this. But if we put that aside, it’s a strong proposal for both teams.

For the Packers, Brandon Aiyuk would instantly become their No.1 option, which he is certainly capable of being. For the 49ers, they would acquire some nice draft capital and a talented young wide receiver who could help them continue to win now in Watson.

While a deal with the Green Bay Packers is unlikely because they are both contenders in the NFC, the deal for both sides certainly makes sense on paper.
