How Green Bay Packers Can Improve on Offense

Following free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers look like they will have one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Jordan Love turned a lot of heads in his first season as starting quarterback and things should only get better in Year 2.

This could still be the youngest team in the NFL in 2024, but they have all gained valuable experience. Not only did they go 9-8 to earn a Wild Card spot, they won a playoff game. A blowout victory over the Dallas Cowboys and a close loss to the San Francisco 49ers have people believing the Green Bay Packers are on the cusp of contention.

There is a lot of optimism with Jeff Hafley taking over on defense. Improving on that side of the ball will be imperative to the team taking that next step, but the Packers will go as far as Love and the offense takes them.

What could they do to move into the upper echelon of the NFL on offense? Already projected to be a top-10 unit, consistency is key for the Green Bay Packers in the opinion of Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report.

“There aren’t many outright flaws with this offense. Finding the right combination of five linemen will be important. They drafted Jordan Morgan in the first round, but it’s unclear whether he will remain at left tackle or kick inside. He has subpar length for the position but might be able to overcome it with his athleticism.

The biggest thing for the Packers will be consistency. If they can play the majority of the season like they did over the back half, they’ll surpass some of the teams ranked ahead of them,” wrote Ballentine.

The offensive line is the biggest competition that Green Bay will have this offseason. The five best players will be in the lineup, but their alignment is far from figured out.

Elgton Jenkins being at left guard is the only thing currently set in stone. Zach Tom will be in the lineup as well, but his position is up in the air. He could move to center, meaning a revamped right side in 2024.

Guard Jon Runyan Jr. signed with the New York Giants in free agency and Tom held down right tackle in 2024. Figuring that out and the unit gelling and building chemistry will be key to the Green Bay Packers offense taking things to the next level.
