The Green Bay Packers executed a series of roster adjustments on Saturday ahead of their Sunday night matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, activating wide receiver Savion Williams from injured reserve while placing three players on the reserve list and elevating two others from the practice squad.

Williams, the 24-year-old former third-round selection from TCU in the 2025 draft, returns after beginning the season on injured reserve following an ankle injury sustained in the preseason.

He is in the second year of a four-year rookie contract valued at roughly $6.3 million that included a signing bonus exceeding $1.2 million.

During his rookie campaign, Williams appeared in 12 games and contributed modestly on offense, catching all 10 of his targets for 78 yards and a touchdown while adding 11 carries for 37 yards.

With Jayden Reed already sidelined for the year by a neck injury and Skyy Moore now joining him on injured reserve, Williams gains a clearer path toward a larger role in the receiving corps alongside Christian Watson and Matthew Golden.

He practiced on a limited basis this week and is considered questionable for the prime-time contest.

On the injury front, the Packers designated defensive tackle Jonathan Ford, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, and wide receiver Skyy Moore for injured reserve.

Each must miss at least the next four games under the designation. Hargrave’s placement follows a torn Achilles tendon suffered late in last week’s victory over the Chicago Bears, an injury that is expected to end his season.

Ford is dealing with a calf issue, while Moore, who has also handled kick-return duties, is sidelined by an ankle problem.

Through the first five weeks, Moore had recorded seven receptions for 35 yards.

The losses thin the defensive interior and reduce receiving and special-teams depth just as Green Bay, sitting at 3-2, prepares to host a 2-3 Cowboys team at Lambeau Field.

To offset the absences for Sunday’s game, the club elevated edge rusher Arron Mosby and wide receiver Coleman Owen from the practice squad to the active roster.

These temporary promotions provide additional depth along the defensive front and at receiver while Williams works his way back into full game shape.

General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions, which collectively address both short-term availability for the Dallas contest and longer-term roster management amid a cluster of injuries.

The moves underscore the Packers’ ongoing efforts to maintain balance on both sides of the ball as the season progresses into its middle stretch.
