The Green Bay Packers are preparing to get training camp underway in the coming days, which has fans excited for the football season. However, what some fans may be most excited about is that the Madden NFL player ratings have been coming out.

The Madden video game release always garners a lot of attention and this year is no different. Some history was made as Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald made the 99-Club for the seventh consecutive year. He was joined in the illustrious club by Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who received a 99 overall for the first time in his career.

While no Packers player has joined that group, there was one standout amongst the rest of his teammates in the virtual world. That would be cornerback Jaire Alexander, who was the highest-rated player on the Green Bay roster in the game.

Alexander received a 95 overall, which was easily the highest ranking on the team. While the quarterback and linebacker position rankings haven’t been released yet, it is fair to assume none of the players that the Packers have at those positions will be topping Alexander’s overall.

In addition to Alexander’s lofty standing on the Green Bay roster, he is the second-highest-rated cornerback in the game. Left tackle David Bakhtiari is the only other player that received a rating in the 90s’ coming in at 90 exactly as one of the best left tackles in the game.

The Packers’ cornerback depth, however, is as solid virtually as it looks to be in real life. Rasul Douglas came in with an 81 overall followed by Eric Stokes with a 76. Keisean Nixon received a 68 overall but is one of the premier kick returners in the game with a 90 overall in that area.

Corey Ballentine, Carrington Valentine, Shemar Jean-Charles and Kiondre Thomas round out the cornerback depth chart. They all have overalls that fall between 67-62. Outside of Matt Orzech, the long snapper, who received a 26 overall as a tight end, the lowest-rated player on the Packers heading into the season is backup offensive lineman, Jake Hanson.
