Micah Parsons has returned to Green Bay Packers practice after a lengthy recovery, yet the star edge rusher remains deliberately vague about the timing of his first game appearance in 2026.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Parsons declined to confirm the widely expected target of Thanksgiving Eve—November 25—against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium, even as the team continues to manage his return from the injured reserve list.

“I don’t wanna say too much because, you know, even if I did play, I don’t want them to game-plan for it,” Parsons said.

“I just want it to be a surprise, and I just want it to be a fulfilling moment for myself, the staff and just to enjoy that day and not put too much pressure on that day.”

The caution extends beyond the media. Family members have inquired about purchasing flights to Los Angeles for the primetime Netflix Showcase, but Parsons has offered them no clearer guidance than he has given outsiders.

“I still got two weeks of practice. We just gotta pay for last-minute flights. It is what it is. You could buy your flight and cancel last minute, that’s up to you,” he explained. “But I’m not gonna pinpoint a day to disappoint anyone or give people expectations that I can’t meet. So I gotta stack 20 days and hopefully on that 21st day, I feel incredible.”

Those references to 20 and 21 days track the NFL’s standard practice window that opened this week after Parsons spent the early portion of the season on injured reserve.

He suffered ACL and meniscus tears in December 2025, and the Packers now have a fixed period in which he can practice before the team must either activate him to the 53-man roster or allow him to revert to season-ending injured reserve.

In the latter case he would be ineligible for the remainder of the regular season and any playoff run.

Green Bay has managed a 5-3 record in his absence despite injuries along the offensive line.

The pass rush, in particular, has remained productive; against the Carolina Panthers on October 29 the unit recorded nine quarterback hits and six sacks.

That output suggests the defense can continue to function while Parsons rebuilds, and it also raises the ceiling once he is cleared to play at full strength.

The Packers face the New England Patriots on the road Sunday before hosting the Minnesota Vikings on November 15.

Whether Parsons appears in either of those contests, or waits for the later matchup in Los Angeles, remains a question he is in no hurry to answer.
