Stock Up No. 3: WR Jayden Reed
The highest-graded Packers player in Week 2 was rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed. He was excellent with an overall grade of 82.9. He lined up more as the furthest wide receiver on the perimeter this game and produced at a solid clip.
Reed caught four passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns on just 18 route run. The Packers’ offense was far from explosive against the Falcons but when the ball was in Reed’s hands, plays were made.
Stock Down No. 3: S Darnell Savage Jr.
In Week 1, safety Darnell Savage Jr. was one of the best players on the field for the Packers. He played a strong game, especially against the run, recording 10 tackles. Unfortunately, he failed to replicate that performance on Sunday afternoon.
Savage recorded an overall grade of 50.7, which was fourth worst amongst defenders. He missed two tackles and wasn’t always in the right position to make a play, resulting in a 38 run-defense grade.
The Falcons were picking on him continuously when he was on the perimeter, which led to an underwhelming 61 coverage grade. Atlanta wide receiver Mack Hollins also recorded a highlight reel play on a flea flicker with Savage in coverage that didn’t help his case.
