When the Green Bay Packers decided to select cornerback Jaire Alexander with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, everyone knew that he would be good. Not only has he been good, he has developed into one of the best lockdown cornerbacks in the league. Alexander is one of the most feared secondary playmakers in the NFL.

Just three years into his career, Alexander has become a superstar. The Packers have had some very good drafts in recent years, but the selection of Alexander might very well be their best in recent history.

Pro Football Focus took to Twitter to share some very intriguing numbers on Alexander. It shows his impressive development in the forced incompletion percentage category.

During his first three seasons with the Packers, Alexander has racked up 175 total tackles to go along with 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, and 41 defended passes.

No, the Packers do not have an interception king in Alexander. Instead, they have a guy who makes every single play difficult for opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers. He sticks to receivers like glue and is always three to knock the ball away.

Unlike many of the other elite cornerbacks in the NFL, Alexander does not rely on turnovers to make a massive impact. He is more than capable of making a play on the football, but he is much more than that. Being able to stifle an opposing teams top wideout and make them work for every yard they get is even more important.

Over the last few years, the Packers have had trouble finding a consistent second cornerback to make a formidable cornerback duo with Jaire Alexander. Kevin King has shown signs of being a quality corner, but he has also made quite a few huge mistakes. If they can get a consistent No. 2 cornerback, the Green Bay defense will be very tough to score again.

Expect to see Alexander put together another masterful season in 2021. He is just 24 years old with plenty of room to grow, which is a scary thought for opposing offenses.
