Stock Up No. 2: LB Quay Walker
The highest-graded Packers player on Sunday afternoon was linebacker Quay Walker. His most impressive highlight was a 37-yard interception he returned for a touchdown, helping ice the game away.
Unfortunately, that was also his most damaging play. Walker suffered a concussion at the end of it and has been placed in the league’s concussion protocol. It is certainly awful timing for such an injury as Walker was dominant in every facet of the game.
He showed improvement as a run defender and remained elite in coverage as well. If he is unable to suit up, it would be a huge blow to the team’s defense.
Stock Down No. 2: CB Keisean Nixon
The Packers’ passing defense is a strength of the team. Jaire Alexander and Rasul Douglas are elite on the boundaries and the team’s linebackers get the job done as well. If there is one weakness, it looks to be slot corner Keisean Nixon.
The All-Pro return man struggled mightily against the Bears in coverage. He was constantly picked on, which comes as no surprise given teams don’t want to target Alexander and Douglas.
It resulted in a team-low 49.3 overall grade as he surrendered seven receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. That will need to be shored up, otherwise Green Bay will have to start looking for other options.
